چکیده

In this study, the strain distribution in grains with a preferred orientation cold-rolled steel plate was investigated. This done by measuring amount of region material using nanoscale fine markers applied focused ion beam (FIB). We obtained crystal orientations and distributions same scanning electron microscopy-electron backscatter diffraction made FIB during rolling to 60% 70% thickness reduction. The method revealed major (cube:{100}<001>; α-fiber:{100}<011>, {211}<011>; γ-fiber:{111}<011>, {111}<211>). average strains that accumulated different cold-rolling were almost at reduction range 60%–70%. However, width γ-fiber approximately twice other orientations. These results suggest deformation inhomogeneity is more pronounced for γ-fiber-oriented than

Isothermal Recrystallization Behavior of Cold-deformed Martensite in an Ultra-low-carbon Microalloyed Steel

One of the most promising ways to produce a grain-refined microstructure in some steel materials is the thermomechanical processing route of subcritical recrystallization annealing of a cold-deformed martensite structure. In the present study, the microstructural evolutions and the associated recrystallization kinetics under various subcritical annealing heat treatment conditions are explored i...

Static Strain Aging Behavior of Low Carbon Steel Drawn Wire

The static strain aging is a phenomenon that can change the mechanical properties of low carbon steels. Thus, the static strain aging behavior of low carbon steel wires after drawing process is studied. To do so, the wires are austenitized at different temperatures and cooled in different rates. Then the wires are drawn and aged at a specific temperature and time. Before and after aging of each...

Grain Growth in a Low-Loss Cold-Rolled Motor-Lamination Steel

This paper attempts to determine the mechanisms governing the grain growth process that occurs during lamination annealing of a cold-rolled, motor-lamination steel. A new simulation approach linking a Monte Carlo model, with EBSD scans used as input, has been employed to incorporate the effects of crystallographic texture on the simulated grain growth process. The results from the texture analy...

Deformation Microstructure and Texture in a Cold-Rolled Austenitic Steel with Low Stacking-Fault Energy

Deformation microstructure and texture in a cold-rolled austenitic steel 310S with low stacking fault energy (SFE) have been investigated by SEM and TEM. When 310S plates were rolled by 95% in thickness reduction, a remarkable development of the brass-type preferred orientation was confirmed by X-ray diffraction. SEM observations of the specimens with such texture exhibited a layered structure ...
